Enduroflex EP1 Primer is a water based, low viscosity, single component, white primer intended for the adhesion promotion and stain blocking on various substrates. The product is a single component liquid and is supplied in plastic containers of 4 litre and 20 litre.
Enduroflex EP1 Primer is designed to improve adhesion of the Enduroflex liquid applied waterproof coating to the following substrates:
- PVC or EPDM Synthetic Membranes
- Plywood / OSB boards
||4 litre and 20 litre
|Coverage Rate (typical):
||0.2 kg/m2 (may depend on porosity of substrate)
|Application Temperature Rate:
0° to 40° C (ambient)
||30 minutes to 1h 45 (at 23°C and 50%RH)
1h to 1h 30 (at 10°C and 50%RH)
||Minimum 12 months between 5°C and 30°C
Instructions For Use
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of frost, dust, debris, oil or grease or any material which would hinder adhesion.
Apply only when the substrate temperature 3 °C above the dew point. If the surface is below or at dew point temperature then moisture can form at the surface and affect coating adhesion and curing.
Stir opened primer to ensure uniform material consistency. Once ready, apply the white primer (0.2kg/m²) onto the prepared substrate in a flowing motion and spread thinly using a brush or roller.
The Enduroflex liquid waterproofing system can be applied above the primed surface when the white EP1 primer coating cures to form a dry transparent film finish. Depending upon atmospheric conditions, curing time can vary from 30 minutes (at 23 °C / 50 % RH) to 1h30 (at 10°C / 50%RH).
ETE / CE marking
Enduroflex Liquid Applied Waterproofing system has been evaluated against ETAG 005 as certified in European Technical Evaluation document (ETE 015/0089), which provide CE marking for the Enduroflex product range.
Read the MSDS sheet on Enduroflex Acrylic Primer carefully before application.
Keep containers in dry areas and away from freezing.
Shelf Life: Minimum 12 months between 5°C and 30°C.
In winter, if possible, keep the containers at 20°C overnight before usage for an optimum use.
